General Development Update #1 - We're okay! + Special Update!
Don't worry, we haven't disappeared! For the last 3 weeks, we've had some personal (the good type of personal!) stuff come up that's now done and dusted, meaning we've returned to development of EC.0-1 with even more motivation than before (not that we lacked any to begin with, mind you). In the coming week, we still plan on everything that was outlined in our last devlog and we've already begun work on it. Across the 3 weeks of absence, we've also had many internal discussi

EC.0-1 - WEEK 4: Multi-vessel arrival & removal, updated textures, completion of primary playermodel
Massive milestones made in the last week! The centerpoint of this week's devlopment work was to build out a proper multi-vessel arrival & removal system, allowing a player to use a worldspace terminal to place orders on vessels, manage the individual berths and send them on their way - deeper into the station - when all tasks have been completed on them. More in the demo video below! Art-wise, we've begun improving various textures across several different models using variou

EC.0-1 - WEEK 3: Gameplay loop expansion, asset highlights, near-future plans
A few days late to our usual weekly devlog! We had a brief personal hiccup (nothing to worry about!), which caused us to lose a few days of development. Not a worry whatsoever, though, we're right back on track and we made up for the lost days. In fact, we have a few exciting things to talk about! Most excitingly, we've moved on from simple prototypes of basic aspects of the gameplay loop; we're now onto properly expanding it into the most primitive version of what it'll actu

EC.0-1 — Week 2: Storage & Transportation of Extracted Components, Bulk Selling, etc.
Week 2's objective placed us squarely in the 'second half of the gameplay loop' territory, with our sights set on creating the ability for the player to extract components, place them inside of a storage 'barge' of sorts, transport to them to a location and sell those components in bulk. We're elated to say that the entire gameplay chain is functional, albeit with placeholder art in many places. EC.0-1 can now be played roughly the way we've envisioned, even if it's primitive

EC.0-1 — Week 1: Project Announcement, Development Plans & FAQ
Existence, as it is perceived, is a cycle. Its inhabitants, as of the Post-Emergence Era, are only just now beginning to truly understand this to any great extent. First, there were the five. Then, there were the many; the unknowable amount. The First Emergence. The Second Emergence. Before that, all these beings knew were themselves; they lived in solitude, in blissful ignorance, wondering the same thing as each other... Does intelligent life beyond their own exist? And it w
